How to lower Facebook ads’ CPC ? (whopping $6)
I’m creating my third campaign in FB targeting french females, 18-24, single
the suggested CPC is above $7, how is that possible ??
I should say that maybe the problem started when i created my first test campaign last month, it was CPM and it had an incredibly low CTR
In fact was just a test and i didn’t care much about it (i completely forgot it and i waste $25 indeed).
The second campaing was on AUS traffic, 50 ads approved but i’ve never started it due to the same CPC cost problem.
My past is influencing my next campaign perhaps ?
Should I create a bunch of expensive campaigns with good CTR just to recover from this status of "worst FB CTR of the year" ?
Experts’ help is much appreciated !
your suggested CPC shouldn’t really be affected by previous campaigns. I do know that some people are finding suggested CPC’s can vary based on account age. I would just try the "red box" method.
Create an ad and start with a bid of say .80 cents. You’ll probably see a box pop at the bottom saying your bid is way to low. Just raise your bid .20 cents until it goes away and start your ads with like a max $10 daily budget. See what kind of volume you can get and make adjustments from there. i’d say more than likely FB is just buggin and the real bid needed is no where near $7
for 18-24 single females who are from france and speaks french no keyword targeting and I’m getting Suggested Bid: 0.54 – 0.92 USD
Damn those are Euros not Dollars.
Also the yellow box fades away at half of the suggested CPC
Anyway thank You for the suggestion,
i’m going to try right now at E .75 and see how many french femmes i get!
Nevermind the CPC cost problem, i can’t get that dating campaign approved.
should i bother create a landing page for "benaughty" ? I wonder if FB restrict that dating offer to be promoted nowadays.
Facebook does not like Benaughty or any offer of its kind. Try a different offer.
FYI the suggested bid minimums are often way above what you actually pay. I bid just over minimum quite often just to get an initial surge in volume. On a few recent campaigns this amounted to bids in the region of $5, initial clicks never broke $3 though and their CPC dropped down to $1 or so on the next few clicks.
What i noticed is on brand new accounts the suggested is usually that high. How old is the account?
I never got that high of a suggested bid but if you get a constant high CTR the bids will go lower as you get more traffic. Just the start is expensive. And you will not pay as much as you bid if your CTR is at least .10. With a .10 CTR you will pay just a little over half of what you bid.
the facebook account more than 2 years, but maybe 3 months since first use of FB advertising system
FB A$$, about 2 weeks ago i created ads that target taiwai got suggested bid price $0.07-0.15.. but today i want to create some new ads for same targets the suggested price is $0.48-0.9…
competition growing really such fast like ray?
Holy crap @ $7 CPC
Dating does have some of the highest CPCs on Facebook,
I don’t think previous CTR affects future suggested CPCs. Launch the campaign, increase your CTR and see if you can get sa good CTR and then you can bid a LOT lower than $7 per click.
The suggested bids depend on the competition i.e. how many others are bidding on the same demo, so it’s natural for them to fluctuate.
If you are targeting keywords it may drive up the "suggested bid" as well. The more keywords you enter the suggested may go up.
