Pausing ads after a number of impressions?

I’ve always paused my ads that receive 1k or more impressions and they don’t receive any clicks or have low ctr (ctr less than .1). As facebook tends to send traffic to one or two ads mainly then a couple of impressions on the other ads. Am I doing things right? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

User Comment:
I would give your self more than 1K impressions. Maybe at least 2-3K.. Normally I would recommend higher but unfortunately facebook likes to determine your CTR/avg. CPC/ad position based on a very limited amount of data.

A great way to combat this and be able to give your ad a fair shake of testing would be to take polarbacon’s tip on duplicating the same ad a couple times, because as his thread showed the same ad, same bid, same everything would get vastly different results due to the inconsistent serving nature of FB.

So maybe make 3 ads and give them all a couple thousand impressions each.

ok thanks for the feedback. Yes, I’m using the polar bacon tip of 3 ads in each campaign.
Thanks again for your time,
