So I have this job that I hate and I’m an employee on first shift. The supervisor plan to switch me over to 2nd shift and have one of the other employee from 2nd shift take my spot on 1st shift because he says that guy wants to come back to first shift and has seniority right over me and that he was originally hired on as a first shift but lost it cause he switched with someone else on 2nd shift a few months back but now wants first shift back and I have to be the one to give it up cause I’m new. WTF is this? This just doesn’t seem right to me. First of all that other guy is the brother in law of the lead on first shift and I just feel like I’m being discriminated. This doesn’t seem like it has anything to do with seniority right but more like the other guy being favored. So they expect me to just stfu and just do what I’m told and be a good little chink. What should I do? I am F’cken pissed!!
launch more ads?
If only my job paid me enough to launch more ads LOL
In the short term you can hit up your supervisor and ask him (without being agressive and drawing the race card straight off the bat). This might be a fix.
But the solution, like polar said is launch more ads…and get yourself out of that job.
read the "art of war" and apply.
be strategic. avoid being emotional and try not to ‘burn bridges’
if you could predict the future you would not be on this site!
and as far as ur situation.
follow Mr. Greens advice and realize that in the grand scheme of things this is just a tiny gnat bite even though right now it feels like a major violation. this happens all the time and its not so much discrimination as ‘rights of power’. You will see this many forms in life and you will find at times you are the one ‘flexing’ vs not.
Who knows you maybe the one getting into the nightclub that is hot while this guy is out in the cold because HE didnt know the bouncer and YOU did. BURN!

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘press on’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race." – Calvin Coolidge
^^^ awesome quote.
we would ALL benefit from reading this everyday IMHO
Hey, that sucks and doesn’t really seem fair to make you switch around at the whim of someone else. Maybe you should look for another job!
